The Aquaculture Development Unit, WA Maritime Training Centre researches the culture of Staircase and Roe's abalone particularly for use at the warm temperate west coast sites. Training courses on abalone hatchery techniques are planned. In addition, this group is releasing a CDRom summarising the value of the green alga Ulva spp in abalone feeds and in aquaculture discharge treatment systems.
